The entrance in the
park of iguazu falls in Brazil is approximately 8 euros and 30
pesos (about 10 euros)in argentina with dicount for owners of
an international student card . You can make your ticket mark
to have a 50% dicount the second day.
In Brazil it's possible
to walk along the western bank that offers a general viewpoint
of the site. It's possible to get close of the end of the "devil
throat".
The most impressive
Part of the cascades of Iguazu is situated in Argentina. Three
circuits allow you to discover them. The lower circuit is connected
to the island "san Martin" by boat (the price of the
shuttle is included in the ticket). It is also possible to discover
the lower part of the falls. The higher circuit gives us a view
point of the water falling .
The "devil throat"circuit
is indeed the most exciting Walk. It's more than one kilometer
long and drives us along the river and to the closest point of
the "throat" . Thousands of cubic meter of water run
in here in an awfull noise. It is the masterpiece of the visit.
The metal gateway was destroyed in 1999 by a flooding and the
wreck of the old path is visible at the end of the path.
The "sandero
verde" (that means green path) is a small paved way which
drives visitors to the first steps of their visit. It is easy,
short, refreshing and does not have anything difficult. Two other
paths ,a little more difficult, are located at the south of the
site: the "sandero Macuco" and the "sandero Yacaratia"
. I recommend them for those who have a little more time.
Caution: The access
to the island san Martin use to be prohibited during winter.
